It’s mad lib time!

Hosted by Punch Debt in the Face, I found this fun mad lib on FB’s site.

MY FILLED IN VERSION

Hi my name is krystalatwork.

I currently have ZERO dollars in my wallet. (When I say I don’t carry cash, I mean it. I have a loonie in the car for the shopping cart at Superstore, does that count?)

When I started managing my finances I was worth approximately -$20,000, and now have a net worth of $30,000+.

I currently work in marketing and have been doing it for 3 years. I make roughly $50-55k per year.

I want to have enough money to feel very comfortable (and to be able to travel without worry) waiting for me when it comes time to retire.

Aside from learning about finances, I really enjoy going rock climbing, daydreaming about our Big Trip, and finding the best deal on items I want to buy.

I think the world would be a better place if humans didn’t exist.

I had a chicken burger and caesar salad from Wendy’s for dinner last night and it was mediocre.

I have had 5 significant others over the course of my lifetime (counting awkward middle school relationships).

One thing that makes me different is my drive to succeed. I guess some might call it stubbornness.

Now that I’m done with this mad lib, I think I’m going to eat a peach.

This takes like 5 minutes, so if you’re going to do it, please link back to the original post at Punch Debt in the Face, or this post. :) Have fun!

Books that I’m going to be buying…

So far I’ve earned $55 worth of Amazon gift certificates thanks to Swagbucks – and I’m just 3 more Swagbucks away from getting another $5 gift certificate. :)

Here are the books that I definitely will be purchasing:

I have my eye on a few other books too, but those are the books I want first. And I love that just by using the internet a little differently than I was using it, I can earn these books for free.

If you’re using Swagbucks, what are you trading your Swagbucks in for?

P.S. please consider using me as your referral if you want to join Swagbucks.

Not shutting down the blog

Some of you read on my Twitter that I was thinking of shutting my blog down. Well I’m not. I don’t think that’s the best thing to do. But I did decide to go private with Twitter (please still request to add me if you want to follow!), and I’ve removed some posts from this site. Not many though.

I have a feeling that someone from my work knows about my blog. Judging from my site statistics and tracking IP addresses, I’m almost certain. I also notice that user history on my computer shows that there is activity on my computer after I leave at 5pm. I can’t tell if it’s just Firefox and other programs refreshing, or if someone is actually using my computer? This concerns me, but I know that I have nothing to hide. It’s not like they can use this blog against me. Except to say that I’ve visited my blog during work hours. Still, I’ve changed the password to my computer anyway.

The posts that I write are almost all written at home, and scheduled to post in the future. I don’t have any posts about my job or where I work, and while anyone can find out who anyone is on the internet, I think I do a decent job at keeping anonymous while still being interesting enough that people would actually want to read my writing.

So that’s the update with me, in case any of you were wondering! :)
