One of the best skills I’ve learned during my journey out of debt (and into a life of financial stability) is the ability to use credit cards responsibly. I no longer carry a balance on my credit cards – instead I use them as a way to earn rewards on my everyday spending.

After years of searching for the right credit card, my current card of choice is the Capital One Aspire Travel Mastercard. I really like it because it allows me to earn points fast, which I use towards travel.

However, using a credit card to earn rewards only works if you pay off your balance every month, and if you have chosen the right credit card for your wants and needs.
