First, I have to apologize for my lack of posting lately. I haven’t had internet at home since Tuesday, and likely won’t have it again until at least Monday. Hopefully Shaw Cable can fix it, because being without internet is such an inconvenience. :)

A pretty good week for spending. I had some alterations to get done on my bridesmaid dress, a pair of pants, and a shirt. It was expensive, so as a result, I won’t be buying new shoes for the wedding I’m in this upcoming weekend. I originally wanted to buy a pair of nude wedges, since that’s what the other girls are wearing. But I have a pair of flat nude shoes that will be okay. I’ll just look even shorter than usual. :)
Thursday I went to a ball game with a few friends from high school, and on Saturday I ran 20km. Without even taking a break. At my steady tempo, I was able to run at the pace I was hoping to run my half marathon in. So now that I know I can run a half marathon in under 2 hours, I can’t help but want to extend myself a little and try to aim for a better time. After all, I still have 2 months of training to go.
On Sunday, I went on a beautiful hike to Wedgemount Lake (just north of Whistler). The guidebook said it would take about 7 hours roundtrip to hike, so Nic and I left Vancouver at around 6:30am just to be on the safe side. As it turns out, we hike a lot faster than the guidebook, getting to our destination in 2:20, and descending in 1:30. The hike was challenging at times, but short (only 14km), and it probably tops the list as my favourite day hike in SWBC. :)
The picture below is of the glacier situated just above the lake.
That’s it for me! How was your week of spending?
