Since yesterday’s post was in response to a question on Formspring, I thought I’d answer another one because I’m a little behind with them. Someone asked me if I plan on living in Vancouver for the rest of my life. This is sort of in line with a question that someone asked me back in January, whether I’d move out of Vancouver to save money. The answer is: I don’t know if I’ll be in Vancouver forever. I mean, it’s hard to say. I love Vancouver for so many different reasons. I love the neighbourhood I live in, and I love … Continue reading

Confessions of a PF blogger

Back in the spring, someone asked me on Formspring what I think my best asset is. I had written out my answer, then sat on it for months because it made (and still makes) me uncomfortable. Earlier this week, I was talking to a friend about it. He said I should post it. So here it is. Because that’s what blogging is all about, right? My best asset is an easy question to answer, because it also happens to be one of my biggest faults … and that’s my constant need to achieve. I know. You’re probably thinking that it’s … Continue reading

July 2011 Goals

Well these goals are a little late, but I blame the gorgeous long weekend for making me a lazy blogger. This month I’ve got some lofty goals planned, but I think that it will help me get back on track and focus after a somewhat lackadaisical June. See a pattern here? :) For all the hard work I put in, I really am an inherently lazy person. Which is why setting goals is important to me; if I didn’t, I wouldn’t accomplish anything. July 2011 Goals: Make an additional $2,000 above and beyond my FT job. I’m going to work … Continue reading

Sunday Link Love: July 3, 2011

It’s been a long time since I did a Sunday Link Love, but it’s been a crazy few months. I hope everyone is having an awesome long weekend! The Vancouver Riots I’ve had a few people ask me in e-mail and Formspring what my opinion is on the riots. I’ve refrained from posting anything about it here on my blog, but I was tweeting a lot while it was happening, as well as the days following the incident. I think this article, Busting myths of Vancouver’s destructive Stanley Cup Riot (Globe and Mail) really sums up my feelings. It wasn’t … Continue reading
