Please note that this spending recap does not take into account any household items that I have purchased. Because I have saved up for those costs, it is coming out of my Savings Fund, and does not directly affect my monthly budget (and therefore will not be reflected in my weekly spending recaps).
This week was expensive, and I didn’t work as much as I’d like to, but considering it was a week of chaos, I think I did fairly well. The move went smoothly, despite having the worst weather ever. From the time I rented the U-Haul, to being finished unloading at my new place – probably took less than 3 hours. And the rest of the weekend was spent unpacking, shopping, and spending time catching up with friends.
Gas was expensive because I filled up twice this week – once for a trip across the border with my sister to go shopping, and again for my weekly fill-up. Other than trying to keep my gas consumption down, my main goal for the rest of the month is to stop going out to eat as often. I think that will be fixed now that I have my own place. :)
I’m also considering joining a gym, but think I might just stick to running outside and going to a weekly kick boxing class with a friend. I went for a run around my new neighbourhood yesterday, and it was great. I want to run a 10km (6 miles) in less than 50 minutes by the time the summer is over. I think I can do it, and by running so much, I will save a lot of money in gym fees. Win-win!
* This is all income I bring in that is above and beyond my full-time job. Money is primarily made through my two blogs and my graphic design business.

Congrats on getting into the new place smoothly- Saturday was the worst moving day weather ever! Do you have a 10k you are thinking of entering or just running for you?
Well I have really been enjoying running lately just for the fun of it, but am probably going to enter the Terry Fox run in September! :)
I was thinking about you (haha even though I haven't even met you yet) when it was hailing like crazy! Glad to hear your move went smoothly.
This week you had a few out eating out expenses, but usually your grocery bill / food expenses are pretty low. I am really curious how you manage that, I am struggling to get my grocery bill under control!
