I had been saving my Amazon gift cards through Swagbucks (affiliate link) to buy the Kindle. Originally, I was against e-readers (and I still am, sort of), because I love the feeling of real books. I love the smell of them, opening them up for the first time, the feeling of holding one, and being able to lend them to friends. What I do not like, however, is the weight. Happy St. Patrick’s Day! On Tuesday I bought my early bird ticket to the Financial Blogger Conference. Now that I’m committed to going, I need to start budgeting out my trip. My vacation days are booked, and I will be spending 3 days in the Windy City. A quick glance at Expedia tells me that flights from Vancouver to Chicago will cost me around $550 roundtrip.
