You know, I’ve never done a weekly round-up of my favourite personal finance posts before. So I’m thinking from now on, this might be something I can do on Sundays.
Brett Wilson is leaving Dragon’s Den
Brett was my favourite on Dragon’s Den, and the only one of the Dragons that really understood the bond between philanthropy and entrepreneurship. Without him, I think the show will lack the heart that Brett brought to the group. And apparently I’m not the only one that thinks so either! I’m sad to see him go, but I absolutely agree with his decision because of the direction the show is headed. He will be missed! But if you want to keep track of Brett, you can follow him on Twitter @BrettWilson. Also, he let me know via Twitter this week that he’s a Flames fan, so my respect for him grew just a little bit more. :)
Why 20-somethings might be too frugal
This article really made me think – what 20-somethings were the authors of this book talking to? While I do agree that it is taking 20-somethings longer to reach the traditional “adulthood” milestones of finishing school, settling into a job, getting married, and having children, I really don’t think it’s because they are so frugal that they are taking their fear of debt too far. What do you think?

Not quite PF-related
I started watching American Idol for the first time since Season 2 because of Paul McDonald. I had heard about his band, The Grand Magnolias, from a friend right before American Idol started. So I was interested in seeing how he performed in a more “pop” atmosphere, as opposed to his “alt-country-rock” band. I hadn’t planned on watching more than the auditions, but ended up getting carried away and now it looks like I’m going to have to watch the entire season. Especially because on his Twitter account, he quoted a Ryan Adams song. And you know how I feel about Ryan Adams.
Blast from the past
I came across this great post that I wrote about a year ago, where I asked GMBMFB readers to answer a few questions so that we can get a chance to know each other better! I loved all of the responses. So feel free to check it out, read about others, and perhaps share a little about yourself.
