Give Me Back My Five Bucks

The best of so far

For some Friday reading, here are a few of my favourite articles so far from Moneyville:

From my blog:
7 financial budgeting tools worth taking a look at
8 ways to survive unemployment
How Twitter helped me win my fight with Rogers Wireless

Oh, and in case you’re wondering what my most popular post on Moneyville has been, well it was one I wrote earlier this month: How I hope to give myself a $25,000 raise, where I spoke about how one of my 2011 goals is to increase my income by 50%. And as a result, I received a massive spike in traffic to this blog on the day the article launched – as you can tell by the graph. It ended up being the most visitors in a single day on this blog, well, ever.

From others Moneyville bloggers:

Moneyville featured articles:

I’m really curious about your opinions: now that Moneyville has been online for just over 3 months, what do you think of it?

I never heard about your blog until I was reading one of your articles on Moneyville that has a link to this blog at end of the article. Since then I have been regular visitor to your blog.

Moneyville being a part of Toronto Star network and assuming that most new readers coming to this blog are from Toronto area after linking from Moneyville, I believe that Moneyville needs some recognition nation wide. Its a great resource for all Canadians.

I'm a fan of Moneyville. I started reading it because you're a contributor, & because I'm a frequent Toronto Star reader. I like the diversity of issues covered, so it reaches the financially “smart” as well as the PF rookies. It's Canadian, so I appreciate the explanations of TFSAs vs. Roth IRA, and has got daily turnaround on articles and tips. Highly recommended – keep up the great work!

There's a typo in Rita Trichur's link- I was really confused why baking was in the Moneyville list, and not a little disappointed to discover it was banking when I clicked over…

Thanks for mentioning my article on University costs.

I really enjoy MoneyVille – lots of interesting topics.

I loooovee MoneyVille and discovered it through reading Krystal's blog.
I wish they would promote it a little more, other than the star's website. I think it's a great read, interesting topics and good posts!

I only just started reading Moneyville. I usually find PF things very boring..until I found your blog and others written by down-to-earth, easy-to-understand people who talk about this stuff and make it interesting.

I'd like to read money ville but the RSS only shows a snippet … So I don't end up visiting. My hub is my RSS reader and if I can't read it in there, I don't follow up to the web site.
