Here is your chance to win a copy of Quicken 2011 – Canada’s #1 best-selling personal finance software!

As you  may know from all of the Quicken contests I’ve done in the past, this is a product that I truly believe in and use on a regular basis. I’ve tried many other ways to track my personal finances before – including customizing my own Excel spreadsheet and countless free online budgeting tools – but nothing works as well as Quicken does. It keeps me organized, and at any time I can see a snapshot of my financial profile in easy-to-read graphs and charts.

Up for grabs are:

  • One (1) copy of Quicken Cash Manager 2011 (MSRP $44.99) – Track spending & pay bills easily with Quicken Cash Manager, the easy, accurate way to manage your day-to-day finances.
  • One (1) copy of Quicken Home & Business 2011 (MSRP $109.99) – See where your money goes, monitor your investments and manage your home-based business finances with Quicken Home & Business.

I currently use an Excel Spreadsheet and a calender. I like to write things down, I am more likely to remember! On my calender, every time I spend something, I write it down on the date I spent it.

I am also using other financial tools offered by my bank to track my savings goal!

I do have Quicken, and use it since Jan 1 2007 with every penny in there.. plus investments.
But, I think people using pen and paper should win this so if I win I'll give my prize to Colleen or another without mint or quicken.

  3. Freckles says:

pen and paper for me! But i wouldn't mind giving software a go!

I am currently using an excel spreadsheet, but perhaps I'll be switching to quicken if I win the draw!

  5. I use a series of spreadsheets to track all of our finances aside from our investment portfolio where I use Google Finance and Questrade to track stock/etf progress. Love those spreadsheets but software would likely serve us even better!
    Cheers!

I currently use some excel spreadsheets that I created but one of my goals is simplify my finances by looking for a program to do everything in one place.

  7. Anne says:

I don't have a good method of tracking my finances currently other than checking bank account regularly. Having Quicken would certainly be a great way to start and also using Quicken Tax software would be so helpful. Husband currently unemployed which has thrown finances into a tailspin.

  8. I use Excel to track my budgeting & expenses :D

  11. I currently use Quicken and an excel spreadsheet. I can't take quicken with me and that's where the spreadsheet comes handy. I export data to excel and then create a pivot table that shows me how much I've spent on things like eating out and groceries.

I use an old version of quicken

  13. Sad to say that I'm not using anything but good 'ole Excel right now. I'm too cheap to buy anything else. Would love to win though!
