Well I’m heading to Toronto in January for a 4 day business trip. I’m really excited to go on this trip. I think it will be very educational, I will be able to meet with some key people, and also I will get to see my friends in Toronto during the evenings! :) I also wanted to see a Leafs/Flames game, but the cheapest ticket I could find on StubHub was over $90 US each! It’s expensive, and I’d be willing to pay that, but I don’t think any of my friends would. Oh well. My flight cost $625.49 (which … Continue reading
So Thursday evening is my 10-year high school reunion back home on the island. After debating about it for about a week, I decided that I would go with three of my girlfriends – leave the boyfriends/husbands at home. I’m actually really looking forward to it now. Even if it’s just at a local pub, it will be nice to see so many familiar faces and see what people are up to. I don’t really have a budget, but I’m thinking it will probably set me back $60-70? Dinner and drinks ($25), and then $45 for the pub. A little … Continue reading

My shopping ban will be over in another week. Since July, I haven’t bought any clothing, accessories or shoes for myself – except for my field hockey uniform which was required and purchased through the team (and a separate dry fit long sleeve top to wear under my jersey). And a Maid of Honour dress for my friend’s wedding in Hawaii. Now what I’m planning on doing is clearing out my closet of anything that I haven’t worn this year. If I can sell it, I will list it on eBay, otherwise it will go to goodwill. Once I am … Continue reading
A few days ago my friend and I went to go see the movie Due Date. There was literally nothing better to watch at the theatre, since Black Swan wasn’t playing yet. The movie was passable, and had just about a billion holes in the plot. But whatever. It was funny enough to keep me entertained. And because we went on a Tuesday, we got our tickets for only $6.99. My high school reunion is next Thursday. At a pub in my hometown because nobody got their act together to plan anything better. Which is just so typical. I would … Continue reading
