10 Year Reunion

So Thursday evening is my 10-year high school reunion back home on the island. After debating about it for about a week, I decided that I would go with three of my girlfriends – leave the boyfriends/husbands at home. I’m actually really looking forward to it now. Even if it’s just at a local pub, it will be nice to see so many familiar faces and see what people are up to.
I don’t really have a budget, but I’m thinking it will probably set me back $60-70? Dinner and drinks ($25), and then $45 for the pub. A little pricey, but you only get one 10-year reunion! :)

Facebook allows me to keep tabs on most people that I don't ACTUALLY keep in contact, and I feel that takes a lot of the surprise out of 10 year reunions. BUT I'd go to mine if it was convenient. I currently live so far away that I probably will miss it…. but we'll see.

10 years go by pretty quick eh? I work with my elementary school friend now and believe me..she looks pretty much the same… :) Same with all my elementary school friends that I run into from time to time….

I've never been to a High School reunion and I'm unsure if I'd actually go (although in defense, I'm not sure there's been one – it will be 15 years this June). I'm still very self-conscious, and would probably be stressed beyond belief leading up to it – I wish there were an easier way to somehow bottle my online confidence and use it in real life.

I think my 10 year high school reunion is coming up next year, but I haven't heard of anything being in the works.
Yeah, facebook spoils a lot of the fun in reunions. Booo! :(
