Ryan Adams is back, & it cost me $31.99
Yesterday I dropped $31.99 US to pre-order the new Ryan Adams & The Cardinals album, III/IV. It’s a 2-CD set with 11 bonus tracks.
You might have heard of me talking about the band before, so for those of you who don’t know, they’re my favourite band. Ryan Adams is best known for being one of the most prolific and most talented singer/songwriters in the world. He is also known for not marrying me, and marrying Mandy Moore instead. Despite that, I still think he’s great and deserving of my hard-earned money.
The album itself was only $16.99, but I had to pay $15 for international shipping. Which seems ridiculous if you think about it, but I have literally been waiting for this album for years. You can only get the 11 bonus tracks if you pre-order, and I always buy the CD from this band (instead of downloading via iTunes) because I want all of the album artwork and extras that come with the pre-order.
Verdict? Well worth the money for me. Call me crazy, but I would have paid twice as much for it if I had to. Maybe even more.

I totally forgot that they were even together. Crazy!!
I think I usually have one artist or band who is this special to me. It used to be Rufus Wainwright and I would bid + buy on stuff on eBay related to him (import CDs and T-shirts I mean… not his used water bottle or anything.) Well, enjoy!

There are very few artists I support in this same fashion…mine happens to be Darren Hayes, ex-Savage Garden singer. :)
