Today is my 28th birthday. I’ve been quite busy lately, so it sorta just sort of snuck up on me. I don’t have anything planned – not going home, because I was just there over the long weekend … and it’s too late to plan something here in Vancouver. BF said he’s going to bake me a cake and cook a delicious dinner tonight, so I’m pretty excited about that. Mostly about the cake part, because he always cooks me delicious dinners. We’ll probably rent a movie and just keep it super low key. He’s also going to come watch my field hockey game on Saturday – it’ll be the first time he’s ever seen me play, so I hope I don’t embarrass myself!
We had originally wanted to do a day trip to Seattle to eat at a restaurant (Crab Pot) we’ve both been dying to check out and walk around the pier and the market. We went to Seattle last year for my birthday and had such a good time. But with the cost of gas, and a dinner out – it just got to be too expensive. The day would easily cost over $100, and we just came back from Hawaii so the expense can’t really be justified.
So I indulged and bought myself a birthday present instead. I spent $42.50 on two tickets to the Jeremy Fisher show in November. I feel a little guilty, but I know the concert will be worth it. :)
I can’t believe I’m already 28. Where does the time go!?
