This past weekend was busy. Friday evening BF and I rushed to get to the ferry terminal after work. My friend’s wedding was beautiful. There were 400+ guests there and everybody was dressed in beautiful saris. The temple was also very nice. I didn’t know anyone there except one high school friend and her BF, so I stuck with them most of the time. So I’ve spent a couple days playing around with my new MBP. It’s awesome. Super fast and quiet as anything. I’ve already moved everything off my iMac and onto the MBP. It’s also been amazing having Adobe CS5 – I’ve been designing like mad. Oh, and I did end up buying a 1 TB external hard drive the other day. I’ve been needing one for years, and figured it would be much faster transferring all my data this way. It’s a total no-frills hard drive; you just plug it in and it’s ready to go. Okay so TONIGHT I am going to be picking up my brand new Macbook Pro. I am so excited! They are installing my 8GB RAM upgrade today, as well as installing all the wonderful software that I need to function. Goodbye, $2,600! I also think I need to finally bite the bullet and buy an external hard drive. I know, I should have one already with all the designing I do. There’s one at Best Buy that’s gotten good ratings. This past weekend, BF and I went to go pick out my new bicycle. I did end up having to pay a bit extra because my bike cost more than $500 (it was $619.95) and I got fenders, a helmet and a lock. Final price to come after I get refunded from Scrap-It. I would suspect about $300? I did try out a couple under $500, but the difference was so noticeable that I couldn’t justify buying the cheaper bike when I know I’m going to be riding it often and for long periods of time.
