July 2010 Monthly Goals

A little late with July’s budget, but better late than never, right!? This month I accounted for higher grocery costs as well as the Cable/Internet bill. I’m not sure if that’s going to be enough, but it will be a work in progress and I can always fix the budget for August.

Also, I will be out of town for 7 days this month, so I’m not sure how that will affect the budget either. I have about $100 US in cash left over from Mexico, so I’ll bring that to Vegas and that should be enough spending money.

July Goals:

  • Work out 2-3x/week (even in Las Vegas)
  • Make an additional $100
  • Save $600 towards Retirement Portfolio
  • Save $100 towards Savings Fund
  • Figure out if I can afford to go to Toronto (don’t think I can squeeze this into my budget)
  • Work on blog to get it ready for transition

$80 car insurance, who is your company & what kind of car do you drive?

Actually $80/month is for basic insurance from ICBC. My extended insurance is through a private company (CDI) that I did a one-time annual payment for when I bought my car – they ended up being MUCH cheaper than ICBC. I'm driving a 2010 Suzuki SX4 AWD.
