I am super excited for the long weekend. I’m taking a 1/2 day tomorrow in order me to catch the ferry in time for the concert (and to run some errands in my home town). We have to bring some things from IKEA for my mom, so she’ll be paying for our ferry to the island (we’ll have to pay for our ferry back obviously).
I don’t anticipate spending much this weekend, so here is my budget:
Friday
Saturday
Sunday
Monday
My original budget for this trip in my May Budget post was $100 (Travel). Which didn’t include the cost of gas, because that comes out of Transportation. So minus the gas, and that puts me at $90 for the weekend. Pretty good, and a little wiggle room too!
Our plan for the hike is to do 20km on Saturday, 20km on Sunday, and the last 10km on Monday. It’s been raining non-stop for the past few days, so the trail is going to be so disgusting and slippery and muddy. On the bright side, the forecast looks to be somewhat sunny for the weekend. I’ve never done a coastal hike before, and trip reports online are all over the place. Some think it’s super epic and hard, and others are saying it’s a walk in the park. And I don’t know where my fitness level/abilities are compared to them. But that’s okay. I’m sure it will be challenging, but I’ll be able to do it. I’m excited!
In other travel news, BF has given me the OK to continue planning our trip to Hawaii. He is pretty sure that we can go with our previous plan of a 5-night trip, but I will wait until after the long weekend to book it – since, even though he’s told me to go ahead and book it, I know he changes his mind often. :) So sometime next week my fingers are crossed that it will be booked.

That is a fantastic amount for a weekend of friends, family and outdoor activities. Hope you have great weather for it.
My recent post One bite at a time.
I went away last weekend and spent an absolute fortune, I should have done a budget before I went what a great idea. I started to write my spends down and then completely blew it again. At the end of June I have another weekend away and this time I,m going to take a leaf out of your book. Enjoy your time away.
My recent post A Girlie Weekend
Yeah, I find that if I don't properly budget for each weekend away, I always always always overspend. I don't know why, but it totally helps to write out a budget and post it on the internet. Maybe because if I totally blow my budget, then I have to face the wrath of other PF bloggers. :)
What's wrong with me? I'm actually more excited with the bandana headband that you're going to purchase…Hehe. Is this another sysptom of being shopaholic? Haha no way! Not me.

I like the way you have broken down your spending's and then come to total conclusion. Something for me to learn.
