Sunday To Do List

Yesterday BF and I went for a walk in Stanley Park. It was such a gorgeous day. We then walked into downtown, ate cupcakes from Cupcakes, and then went to Guu in Gastown for dinner. It’s not a restaurant we’d normally go to because it’s expensive, but delicious ($35 each for 7 dishes plus drinks, after tax/tip) … and we had been wanting to go back since we went there for our 2nd date ever. We were celebrating my new job and BF had just finished an exam. :)

Today BF is working, and I have a lot of things I’d like to get done:

  • Get 2 pairs of jeans taken in at the waist (!) & pockets sewn shut on a skirt
  • Wash car (only if it stops raining)
  • Deposit $30 into my bank account
  • Do laundry
  • Go to the gym
  • Go grocery shopping
  • Return movie (we watched A Serious Man last night – I was not impressed)

Wow….that place looks nice. They should open one here!

  2. Is this the same Cupcakes store that was featured in a program on T.V.?!

I totally second your opinion on "A Serious Man" … it sucked, turned it off before it finished. I'm a big fan of the Coen brothers and "dark comedies" (as this had been marketed), so it was a disappointment and I was thinking it was just me who didn't get it.

I guess I'm the only person who loved A Serious Man. :)

I LOVE Guu… it's especially fun with a big group! I haven't been to the one in Gas Town yet though but from all the other locations, Robson is my favorite.

  6. [...] Pennies asked how it went with getting my jeans tailored the other day. Well I just went to StitchIt in the mall because that’s where I always go to [...]

hey, i was meaning to ask — how did taking in jeans go? I have had dress pants and dresses taken in (but generally I just buy a smaller size since it is almost as cheap if you find a good sale), but I never have considered having jeans tailored. I have no idea why not though!
