Last night I booked our family vacation to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico! I am so excited. It’s for the end of June, so that it will include the Canada Day holiday. I’ve never been outside of Canada/USA before, so this is going to be great. A few of you have been asking for my apple pie recipe, so here it is! :) I make it every year for Christmas (along with a pumpkin pie) and it’s always a hit with my family. BF especially loves this recipe. So over the weekend I did some major shopping. Well, I tried at least. In total, I bet I spent over 12 hours in malls. On Friday I went to the outlet mall, and on Saturday and Sunday I went to 2 malls in the city. Let me just say that I am freaking exhausted from all that shopping! Honestly, I’m a little sad that my 6 week vacation is over. :) I’ve enjoyed staying up and watching late night TV, and I’ve enjoyed running errands during the day, and working out whenever I want. Out of all the complaining and stressing out I actually did, I still liked it. But I’m so happy to be going back to work. So I accepted their offer and will be starting on Tuesday! :) This is so much better than I could have hoped for. Only $1k less than the salary I was making at my past job, plus an extra week of vacation and full benefits … and a salary review by the end of the year. All smiles over here, folks!
