So over the weekend I did some major shopping. Well, I tried at least. In total, I bet I spent over 12 hours in malls. On Friday I went to the outlet mall, and on Saturday and Sunday I went to 2 malls in the city. Let me just say that I am freaking exhausted from all that shopping! I did end up getting some great things though, so I’m really happy.
Here’s what I’ve managed to snag:
I had earmarked $500 (of almost $1600) from my tax refund to spruce up my wardrobe. A lot, I know. But every professional needs a suit, and it was high time I got one. Also I didn’t own any clothing with print or colour, everything was very plain and functional. These new pieces will definitely work well with what I have. As for the $500 budget, I haven’t added up all the receipts yet, but I am not even close to hitting that, and I don’t think that I will. After a while, I started to feel guilty for spending money so I just stopped. The BR suit blazer was quite expensive (even though they were having a 25% off sale), but I’ve been wanting/needing a suit since I graduated and I figured I could just wear the blazer with a pair of black pants that I already own.
I still really want to get a pair of black skinny pants (still trying to find the right pair!), and perhaps a new pair of flats (since I only have 2 pairs of work shoes), but … probably not for a while. I don’t think I can step foot in a mall for at least a few months now. I’m getting tired just thinking about it.

You are such a tease!!!!! PICTURES PICTURES PICTURES!!!!!!!
And i think what you've bought, are basically classic pieces. Even from not seeing them, I can feel like they'll be something you'll wear for many years to come
