Honestly, I’m a little sad that my 6 week vacation is over. :) I’ve enjoyed staying up and watching late night TV, and I’ve enjoyed running errands during the day, and working out whenever I want. Out of all the complaining and stressing out I actually did, I still liked it. But I’m so happy to be going back to work. It’s like a weight has been lifted off of my shoulders – and the thought of a work environment that doesn’t involve drama? That sounds just like heaven.
Today I am heading across the border to do a little shopping at the outlet mall. I want to spruce up my work wardrobe – this new job has a business casual dress code, so I would like to get a pair of dark denim jeans, khakis, some blouses, a summery dress or two, maybe a new pair of flats… how will I pay for this, you ask? I’ve already earmarked part of my tax refund to go towards updating my wardrobe and with the dollar at par, it’s now or never. Plus, I want to go on a weekday, so the border will be less busy. I’m excited to try and snag some great deals at the outlet mall! And yes, I’ve already printed out all the coupons I need. :)

That sounds like a fab way to get ready for your new role. I love business casual – it's the same where I work.

Shopping for a new wardrobe is really fun especially if you're doing it for your new job. You wanted to create an impression and of course you want to look good in front of your new office mates. Good luck to your new job and shop until you drop lol!
Congrats on the job!!! It's always nice to hear when someone's job search went well. I'm thrilled for you.
I just braved the mall yesterday myself for internship clothes (I'm a student) – that office is business formal so it's all suits. I now have three suits (two new, bought on clearance sales, and one I had already), a new purse and a new pair of shoes, plus a whole bunch of tops I bought at a thrift shop. I sure hope that's enough for the summer!
