Okay, March is all about getting back on track. Now that the Olympics are gone, I anticipate all of my spending to go back to normal. I’m planning to go home for one weekend out of the month, and we have a potential ski weekend planned with 2 other couples. This may or may not happen, but I will plan for it anyway. BF is gone for about half of the month for training, so that will definitely cut down my variable spending. February ended up being an expensive month. I went over my budget by quite a bit – but that being said, I also was able to make a crap-load of extra money ($1,203.78 to be exact). Which means even though this chart shows that I went over my budget by ($803.05), I actually came out on top by +$400.73 more than my regular FT job. :) Notes: Car payments – I unexpectedly made an extra payment this month. Well, that was arguably the biggest hockey game that Canada has ever won. The only one that can really come close is the 1972 Summit Series. Not only did Team Canada win men’s hockey gold on home ice against its biggest rivals, but with that win, Canada broke the record for the most gold medals ever by a single country at a Winter Olympics (with 14). What an honour. We really did “own the podium!” Congrats to Ryan Miller, who really was the main reason why USA won silver. He was the best goalie in the tournament by far.
