April 2010 Monthly Goals March 30, 2010
Posted by gmbmfb in : monthly goals , trackbackWell, April is going to be a funny month. I don’t exactly know what’s going to happen in terms of employment, so I’m budgeting for my EI income ($914 bi-weekly before taxes – uggghhh). I don’t think I’ll be getting my first EI payment until closer to the end of the month, so we’ll see how this works out. I might have to pull money from my Emergency Fund to get me through to my first EI payment.
My goals for the month are pretty simple. Since I don’t have much money coming in, I highly doubt I will be able to save anything.
April Goals:
- Workout 6x/week
- Find a full-time job

Very smart indeed to plan for that new and very temporary *fingers crossed* EI budget. This serves as a fantastic reminder for all those out there who don't see the need for an Emergency Fun because they have a job.
Life happens. We can only control with how we deal with it, and I think you're dealing with it beautifully!
What you'll get for EI is about as much I make from my current PT (30hr) job… but at least I'm starting to get benefits/holidays/sick days! Wow, how is your rent only $150?
Well let's just say that BF and I have a unique living situation, and we are both very fortunate to be in the position that we're in, paying only $150 each for rent each month. I can't really say much more than that out of respect for BF's financial privacy. :)
Considering you didn't achieve your goal of working out 6 times a week in March, why not perhaps try aiming for something more attainable in April, say, maybe 3 or 4 times a week? I noticed you also failed that same goal in February too. I think you're being too hard on yourself, and maybe you should aim for something more realistic so that you don't consider it fail when you get to the end of the month.
I should be able to do it. Working out 6x week should be easy for me. I don't work right now, so I have all the time in the world. And even if I didn't have any time, the 30 Day Shred DVD is only 20 minutes long. I worked out almost every day in January, so I know that I can do it. I just have to put my mind to it.
