Thursday morning this and that March 11, 2010
Posted by gmbmfb in : Uncategorized , trackback- I have a giant bag of unopened mini eggs that I bought last week while grocery shopping. How’s that for will power!?
- Thinking of doing a huge purge of my stuff again, and selling them all on Craigslist & eBay (Amazon for books). Now that I have all the time in the world!
- The one Christmas ornament that BF and I have (a tiny little figurine), is still out on display. What? Nobody comes to visit us.
- Ordered the Skyn night cream online a few weeks ago, and asked for it to be delivered to my office. Hopefully they will just forward it to my mailing address, because I really don’t feel like calling or e-mailing any of them.
- I went for a 3km hill run yesterday. I am so out of shape. BUT I did pick up one of those Nike+ sensors yesterday while in Bellingham and used it for the run. Very very cool! I can’t wait to use it again today for my run. I also ordered a pair of VFF KSOs online. Best part? I got them for $70 after shipping – so I barely have to pay anymore out of pocket after I factor in the $$$ I got from selling my last pair. Very satisfied.
- Since being fired, I’ve only applied for 1 job.
- STILL haven’t received all of my paperwork to do my taxes. Grr!

Hi, there! I haven't read your blog in a few days. It's hard to see it right now, but getting fired is a good thing! I'm retired (early) right now…..but in my chosen career of transportation, I was fired 3 times. Twice I was in your situation, totally unfair. Once, I deserved it.. I just had a bad attitude. Ultimately, I started my own business; small, lean, quality customers, two fabulous employees. My goal was to treat them incredibly well, pay them well, let them do their thing… they were stars. Fast forward 14 years, I retired early. My point? I always wondered what was wrong with me, that I couldn't make it in a company. Look outside your comfort zone; what's the worst you can do? Fail. Then you start again. But you might succeed… and will certainly be happier.
I really enjoy your blog.. thanks for writing.. Good luck, Peggy
