Interview tomorrow March 11, 2010
Posted by gmbmfb in : job , trackbackSo last night I combed through a bunch of job sites, and ended up applying to 2 jobs that I thought would be a good fit for me. One stood out for me more than the other. And as it turns out they thought the same of me too because they called me immediately this morning. I have a job interview lined up with them for tomorrow. :)
Even if this doesn’t result in a job, it will help sharpen my interview skills and build my confidence.

Congrats and good luck tomorrow! I'm sure you'll knock 'em dead.
WOOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Go Krystal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good luck. Keeping your interviewing skills up to par is a great idea.
Yay, good luck! It's great that you have some positive things happening already!
Wow that was fast! Good luck!
Wow! This is awesome. Good luck! Hope you nail it.
Best of luck with the interview. Just caught up with your posts, totally ridiculous what happened to you at your previous job.
My recent post Mortgage Interest Tax Deduction? No, Thanks
I hope that if you get the job, it will be a much better fit than your last one! Good Luck!
My recent post Spendy Spendy Weekend and Refund!
Not too shabby since you got the call right away. You’re skillsets must be very strong. Good luck!
You go girl!!! :)
Krystal: a few days back you had mentioned working on someone’s website…cleaning it up. That’s work, and better yet…you’d be your own boss! Have you thought about going that route?
BTW…B.S. on the way your FORMER employer did it. Much worse than I got from Arthur Andersen (before Enron hit the fan). I was in the office for 4 hours when they decided to call me back. Proceeded to call it a “voluntary head count reduction” — apparently it was “voluntary” for them, not for me.
How exciting an interview is in the wind. Sending positive vibes out west.
Good luck Krystal!
For Lazo – I think she was working on her own website (unless I've missed something). Doing website stuff is really hard to make a living at (at least here in this neck of the woods). Every second person you meet is a website designer:) At my old office, you couldn't imagine how many people we had cold calling us trying to get work designing our website.
I would never want to make my side business into a full-time job. I am not that great of a web designer, and there are a million graphic designers that are better than me. I just do side work for people to keep the creative juices flowing and to make a little extra cash on the side.
I was contacted to do web work for a (former) colleague. I do a lot of design work for them, so I do anticipate doing work for them in the future. But yeah, I agree with you. Every second person is a web designer these days, and most have just learned on their own without any formal training or certification. I don't try to compete with any of them. I also don't solicit work, but if someone wants me to do something for them, I'm more than happy to. :)
Best of luck Krystal!
Awesome!! Good luck. I hope the job turns out to be what you want.
Good luck!!!
