Made 1 of 3 extra car payments

When I bought my car, my loan payments were scheduled to come out of my chequing account bi-weekly on Mondays (1st & 15th of this month). It was really annoying, having to remember and calculate payment times. So I called into BMO last Wednesday to get them changed to bi-weekly on pay day Fridays. They said they would send me some paperwork which I would have to send back to them before they could get authorization to switch the dates – meaning the next payment would be on the new date of the 19th, since I was too close to … Continue reading

Bought Olympic hockey tickets

We just bought men’s Olympic ice hockey tickets from my friend. Quarter-final tickets, to be exact. He isn’t able to go anymore, and offered them up to me. No, they weren’t cheap. But we did get them for face value, once you factor in all fees & charges they tack on. How much were they? $200 each. So $400 for the pair. Regular price, they are $175 + fees/taxes. I AM SO EXCITED. After I realized I wasn’t going to be volunteering, I was so upset that I hadn’t gotten tickets to at least one game. And everyone is inflating … Continue reading

Netbook has sold!

So this month I’ve been able to generate a lot of extra income. This is not normally the case, but I’m not going to complain! For those who follow me on Twitter, you might know that my netbook sold today. :) I’m sad to see it go, because I really did love it. But I never use it, and it’s just sitting there. After shipping & fees, I should bring in about $325. Which brings my extra income total this month to $1,005. :) I also just listed my ski helmet on Craigslist. I bought it online from MEC a … Continue reading

Weekend fitness

Well this past weekend I did not do my 30 Day Shred workouts. Instead, we went and got our exercise out in the sun & snow. Except we had to drive 2.5 hours east each day just to find a little snow! Saturday BF and I went skiing all day in Manning Park – he got us free lift tickets because he knows a couple people who are volunteer ski patrol there. I’ve never been there before, but I LOVED it. Kind of a smallish ski hill, especially compared to Whistler … but still IMO better than any of the … Continue reading

Rest Day

I feel guilty because I didn’t workout yesterday. BF was settled on the couch (Thursday is normally our TV watching evening), and I felt bad asking him to skip our TV shows so I could hog the TV again. Like every night. So I took a rest day. And to make matters worse, not only did I skip my workout, but I bought my lunch (chicken avacado sandwich) AND dinner (dim sum from T&T). Bad Krystal. Although, one of my February goals was to work out 6x/week. So as long as I workout today, I’ll still be on track to … Continue reading
