It’s been very difficult to find the time to workout while the Olympics are happening. I skipped last night’s workout in favour of watching snowboarding half pipe and the Czech vs. Slovakia hockey game. Props to Shaun White! That guy is unbelievable! I also watched Lindsey Vonn do some interviews after she had won. She is the only female athlete I’ve seen so far who wears make-up during her race and during interviews. And apparently she was even caught on camera putting on make-up minutes before her race! Come on!!! Both BF and I have never heard of her before, … Continue reading
1savvysaver asked … I’m curious, how much have u made from swagbucks so far? Here is what I’ve made so far: $515 in Amazon Gift Cards (45 Swagbucks = $5 Amazon Gift Card) $50 US in cash (70 Swagbucks = $5 US in cash via PayPal) TOTAL EARNED = $565 The #1 question I get is “how do you earn so many SBs?” My #1 way is through referrals. When you refer someone, you get 100% of the SBs that they earn, up to a maximum of 100 SBs. I also subscribe to their blog, have them on Facebook, use … Continue reading
So I finally had enough Amazon gift cards (from Swagbucks) to place another order with free shipping. Here is what I ordered: Dear John by Nicholas Sparks ($5) – kind of a guilty pleasure read. I find Sparks to be super super cheesy, but I’ve been wanting a light read and the movie has sparked my interest in this book. Ryan Adams & the Cardinals: A View of Other Windows by Phil Lesh, Ryan Adams & Neal Casal ($20.38) – well, come on. I’m not going to not buy it. It’s a collection of about 200 photos of the band … Continue reading
If you’re from my hometown, chances are you know who Jeremy Baker is. And if you don’t, I’ll tell you that he’s the afternoon show host for The Zone 91.3FM. He’s a great on-air personality and I’ve had the pleasure of working with him sometimes when I worked back in my hometown. Anyway I know he’s been reading my blog lately and I found it VERY cool that he’s been inspired by my lunch challenge, and is now taking on The Sandwich Project in an effort to save money. (Take a look at the photo – Jeremy’s wife baked him … Continue reading
Who watched the Canada vs. Norway game last night? Iginla was on fire! Not bad for Canada’s 4th line winger. Props to Norway for keeping it close for a while. It’s probably tough coming from international ice to NHL sized ice, without a single NHLer on your team. I also got a chance to check out figure skating. Used to watch it a ton when Kurt Browning, Elvis Stojko and Josée Chouinard were the stars of Canada. Not to mention Isabelle Brasseur and Lloyd Eisler! Now, I don’t know anyone. Anyway after Patrick Chan skated (meh), I did Level 3, … Continue reading
