Oh, Team Canada.

First it was Hiller, and this time it was Miller. Seriously, what gives? I’m upset that Canada lost to the USA last night, but I feel confident in knowing that without the superb play of Ryan Miller, Canada would have won the game. Now we just have to take the long road to the quarter-finals, but we’ll get there. :) As for Brodeur? After a shaky start, he pulled through. But I wouldn’t be surprised if Luongo got the start against Germany in the qualification round. J and I have quarter-final hockey tickets for Wednesday night, so I’m curious as … Continue reading

Philosophy Hope in a Jar

My face cream is dwindling down. I think I have 4, maybe 5 days left at the most. And as I was perusing Sephora online, I was comparing the prices between US and Canada. $38 US for a jar of Philosophy cream I was thinking about trying, vs. $50 CAD for the same one. I wonder if the prices in the stores are the same. I will make a trip to the mall today to check it out (I’m going to get my hair cut – haven’t gone over 3 months – my hair is looking a little sad). But … Continue reading

Happy Friday & Pay Day!

Well, as you can tell by my NetworthIQ, I’ve dropped a few thousand dollars this month. Which hurts a bit, because I worked my butt off to earn a lot of extra money this month. But I adjusted the value of my 2 vehicles (BF is buying my old Golf off me, so I adjusted for the amount still owing), and my Retirement Portfolio took a beating this month. That being said, I was able to hit all of my savings targets that I set for myself in my February Goals. But I’ll have a re-cap of that sometime next … Continue reading

I heart Express!

OMG! I was just whining to BF about how we need to take a trip down to Washington so I could buy a new pair of jeans from Express (the only brand of jeans I wear), and check out these “jeggings” that they have (jeans + leggings). Well, I went onto their website and THEY NOW SHIP TO CANADA! This would have been the greatest clothing-related news I’ve ever heard, but shipping is rather expensive. I dropped a pair of “jeggings” into my shopping cart and it was $16 for shipping plus $19.94 for an International Processing Fee, which includes … Continue reading

Squeaked by with a win…

Jonas Hillar is a god among mere mortals. Seriously. We barely squeaked out a win against him. Glad that we did, because Canada really is the better team, but what a nail biter! I was very impressed by the Swiss team. Now, it’s time to regroup after this win, and focus on our next game against the US! I also want to point out to my readers that when I talk about the Olympics, I’m merely talking about what I see and my thoughts about the athletes and the Games. Of course I’m going to judge the athletes. They are … Continue reading
