Exercising this weekend

As for weekend exercise, on Saturday I did Day 22, Level 3 of the 30 Day Shred. I’m almost there! Feeling good about it, and looking forward to another challenge once this is over.

Yesterday, BF wanted to get up at 2am to go on a long “day hike.” But when the alarm went off, he kept hitting snooze until 4am. :) We ended up leaving around 4:30am. Our goal was to climb Mt. Robie Reid (see picture I took from the logging road). We had to bring large packs with us because we brought our harnesses, rope, helmet, shovel, ice axe, etc. None of which we actually ended up using. We hiked hard for almost 4 hours before deciding to call it quits. The mountain definitely requires a weekend trip. A day hike is a little out of the question. Plus … we both wanted to be home in time to watch the Canada/USA hockey game. :)

    So I decided to do a 30 day shred program due to being inspired by GMBMFB and my goal is to keep a solid program in place at the gym once my 30 day intensive program is over. Because I'm a bit rusty, I can't over exert myself but I'm going to exercise (a mix of cardio and weights) for 30 straight days! Wish me luck and thx
