From my Day 11: 30 Day Shred post, Anonymous asked:
Have you noticed any difference? I know it’s only Day 11 but I’m curious. Any weight lost?
I have definitely noticed a difference. Granted, I have been working out non-stop since Christmas – except for the 5 days I was in Calgary, and my 1 rest day. As for weight loss? I’ve lost maybe 3 lbs. Not a lot, but I’m gaining muscle and I look a lot more toned. Even BF has noticed.
I can see it in my arms. I am much stronger and there is a lot more definition around my shoulder complex, and I can see it in my legs too – but to a lesser degree. I started doing Level 1 with 5 lb. weights, and now I’m up to 8 lb. weights on Level 2. Cardio-wise, I could be doing better. I should be going on long hikes, or on runs outside. That definitely needs to improve, because there’s nothing you can really do in 20 minutes that is going to improve your cardio that much.
Friday, Day 12: I switched to 8 lb. weights for Level 2. And seriously, that makes a huge amount of difference. I woke up on Saturday with some soreness. I was getting a little cocky with 5 lb. weights, so lifting more has definitely put me in my place. I like it. Makes it a lot more challenging. My arms aren’t nearly as strong as my legs, so I could barely keep up with their reps.
+30 min. of yoga & strength on the Wii Fit.
Saturday, Day 13: I tried Level 3, but back to 5 lb. weights. It’s definitely a faster pace than Level 2, but I did find it a bit easier than Level 2 with the 8 lb. weights.
+35 min. of yoga & strength on the Wii Fit.
Sunday, Day 14: I did Level 3 with 8 lb. weights on some of the exercises. Made it a bit more challenging. I cannot keep up with the pace of their reps when I use the heavier weights though. Gotta keep working at it. It’s only Day 14, after all.
+90 min. of yoga, strength, balance on the Wii Fit.

When you say you did Level 2, does that mean you did Levels 1 and 2 or JUST level 2? I keep wanting to ask but I feel like I should know the answer.
Anonymous: For now I'm only doing 1 level at a time. I think if I wanted to, I could do Level 1 and either 2 or 3. Maybe that will be my challenge for this week!
That's good to hear that you're getting results! I'm tempted to try that work out video but I can never muster up the willpower to work out at home.
I'm sorry if this is a silly question, but this dvd is meant to be completed in 30 days, so does that mean you are supposed to do either level 1, 2, or 3 in 30 days or levels 1, 2, AND 3 throughout the 30 days? In other words, do you do Level 1 for 30 days if you're a beginner and level 2 if you're intermediate or do you do all three?
Le Meow: you are supposed to start at level 1 at the beginning and when you feel ready, move to the next level. With the object being to be doing Level 3 by the end of 30 days
Le Meow – I did Level 1 for 7 days, Level 2 for 10 and Level 3 for 13 days (adding 3 days each time I moved up a level)
