I spent all morning wondering why so many of my Facebook contacts were putting different colours/patterns as their status updates. So I did a little Google sleuthing, and apparently they represent the colour of the bra they are currently wearing. With the purpose of raising awareness of breast cancer. Not really sure how it all got started, but I’m game! So if you’re a girl (or a boy who wears a bra), here’s what you should do right now: look at your bra & note the colour, type it in your FB status bar, and feel up your boobs to … Continue reading
Yesterday was another no-spend day for me. So that means so far this year, I’ve had 3 days without spending (4, if I make it through today). We were going to go to Boston Pizza for dinner to take advantage of their $9 3-course meals promotion, but as we were driving there, we decided to go home. I made myself a caesar salad and watched Dragon’s Den instead. Win! :) Oh, and also today was my 12th straight day of working out! Dinner ended up costing me $14.48 including tax and tip, and the movie was $11.75 (which included free popcorn & a drink – a new Tuesday promotion – a good deal in theory, but I barely had any of it because I was so full from dinner). Anyway we ended up seeing The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. Neither of us really knew what it was, only that it was full of star actors and it was Heath Ledger’s last movie (which he didn’t even finish). It wasn’t … Continue reading
Last night BF and I went on a 12km walk – which ended up being a jog. He underestimated the time we needed to get somewhere, and we ended up running to get there in time. But, it was good exercise so I can’t really complain that much. While walking, we talked about the future (which is what we usually talk about when we go walking). When he starts his business, he wants me to do the marketing and promotional work. We haven’t really figured out what kind of cut I would take (or if I would charge a flat … Continue reading
