A past client of mine has asked me to take on another design project. I’m really excited about this one, because I get to produce marketing material for someone to use during the Olympics. This is definitely something that I can put in my portfolio. This won’t be a big job, but it needs to get wrapped up fairly quickly due to production time and the Olympics being just around the corner! I’ll probably make around $400 – which isn’t a lot, but definitely helps. I don’t advertise my side business, I just take on clients who fall in my … Continue reading
Last night I spent about an hour trying to figure out what the deal is with my blog and Chrome. Still can’t figure it out. It’s so strange! Someone suggested that I have too many java-type thingies on my page. I’ve tried to remove each one, but nothing worked. I didn’t try removing all of them at once though, but I can’t see that being the problem since I’ve always had this layout, even before these Chrome problems. I’ve gained about 7 lbs. since college, so I’d really like to lose that weight as well. But the most important thing is exercising … Continue reading
So I’ve been informed by various people who use Chrome (via PC and Mac), that Chrome 100% hates my blog and it doesn’t load properly, or loads super slowly and slows down the entire browser. I’m not sure what the issue is, since I use Firefox on Mac and PC. Tonight I’ll download Chrome to my Mac (and check it out on BF’s PC) to try and figure out what the problem is. So hold on! Hopefully a fix will be coming shortly. And if there are any techy people out there who might know what the problem is, please … Continue reading
I just read an article on CBC about micro-lofts in Vancouver, which will be 270 sq.ft. lofts that will rent for about $300 less than the average bachelor suite. I thought it was a fabulous idea, especially after watching this video a few weeks ago about a 344 sq.ft. flat in Hong Kong. These kinds of living spaces are everywhere around the world where space is at a premium. Okay. Living in downtown Vancouver is expensive. That’s just the way it is. And if you insist on living downtown (or in Vancouver in general), you’re going to have to pay … Continue reading
