Day 11: 30 Day Shred January 29, 2010
Posted by gmbmfb in : fitness , trackback
Yesterday I saw Jillian’s No More Trouble Zones DVD at London Drugs for only $7.99! I was very tempted to buy it, but decided to hold off until I’m closer to the end of the 30 Day Shred. Plus, even though it’s more expensive through Amazon.ca ($9.99), I can earn it for free through Swagbucks. Has anyone else used No More Trouble Zones before? Any good?
Anyway yesterday was also Day 11 of my 30 Day Shred. I’m going to do Level 2 again today (using 5 lb. weights for the military press, & 8 lb. weights for everything else), then move onto Level 3 tomorrow. I’ve heard from a lot of people that Level 3 is easier because there are no plank holds. But we’ll see!

why don't u just google the name and rapidshare to grab a copy instead
Beyoncesux: Because I don't believe in stealing…
no one cares, "just do it", and enjoy some savings
I know a lot of people do download illegally without a second thought, but I'm not one of them. I fully believe in supporting people when they've put in hard work to create music, or movies, or workout DVDs – in this situation.
I don't think Jullian is going hungry without your 8.99. Since financial bloggers are a minority, I doubt any support you give to content providers has negligible impact to them.
Hey since you Chinese (I'm guessing) then you know everyone is China does it.
Kratos: The point isn't if the person is going to go hungry without my money. Because clearly she is rich enough not to notice.
The point is not to steal from someone. And to pay for something that I am using. What's the difference between downloading a movie on the internet and walking into a store and stealing the movie off the shelf? Nothing.
Some people fully believe in illegally downloading material off the internet. I'm not one of them, but clearly you are.
No don't steal from stores. Too many cameras. But any media is readily available online. Trust me doing it won't traumatize you. I'm been smiling at my savings for the last 15 years while laughing at people thinking they are supporting their stars. Most recent one is the dumbass that is giving his 200 dvd collection to a family member. He not even smart enough to try to list them ebay to recoup some of the expenses.
Buy at the lowest price, view and enjoy it, then flip it on ebay

I think Borders have a 50% off deal on slickdeals.net. Just print out the coupon. I tried stealing a copy of The Millionaire Next Door online as well but couldn't find any site that had a full copy. So I went and supported a B&M bookstore.
If you have netflix, or something similar to that you could rent it. I have netflix and got the 30 day shred…and i can keep it for as long as i want since there are no late fees.
hi,
I really enjoy reading your blog, but I dont usually comment. Fitness though is my "fun" area of interest.
I have JM's no more trouble zones and its a hard workout, and its great for the days when I dont want to go to the gym. I actually like both no more trouble zones and Boot your metabolism.
They are much harder than 30 day shred! Boost your metabolism doesnt use weights and is harder than no more trouble zones, its also more cardio!
Wow, I came in to see if anyone had answered your question re the vid and came into craziness.
I've been meaning to try out the dvd and I think I will next time I place an order from Amazon.
Have you noticed any difference? I know it's only Day 11 but I'm curious. Any weight lost?
I'm just curious, if you buy it on amazon with swag bucks, do you pay shipping too? Or do you batch things together so you get free shipping?
I wonder if Boost Your Metabolism would help me stop huffing and puffing when I walk up the hills near my house everyday…
By the way, Krystal, does Jillian give you a break during these 30 days for muscle repair or does she make you workout 30 days in a row?
Le Meow: I just wait until I have enough gift cards and enough things I want to qualify for free shipping with my gift card purchase. Otherwise it's really not "free"
Oh and also no, you do not get a single break in the workouts. It's straight through for 20 minutes. Which is fair enough, because 20 minutes isn't a very long time to be active.
Sorry, I meant are you supposed to do 30 days of workouts with this dvd without a day off to rest? I thought you were supposed to rest so your muscles can have a chance to repair.
Le Meow Yes it is 30 days straight. The object of the DVD is to retrain your body and get maximum results. Exercising every day is recommended by most.
