My mind is on purses

I’ve been thinking really hard about purses over the past week. I’ve decided to take the advice of some readers (and my friends) and look at eBay and other online sites for potentially better quality (and more bang-for-my-buck) bags than Roots (who I will admit, are overpriced at regular price), or Fossil. I have $200+ sitting in my PayPal account from Swagbucks & advertising opportunities. My original intention for that money was to actually buy a purse & black flats with it (so it wouldn’t affect my budget) – since I’ve been wanting both those items for quite some time – and pretty soon I’m going to need them.

BF’s mom is throwing in $150 for the purse as a Christmas present, so I could potentially get myself a purse that is quite nice AND get those black flats that I want. Which is great because I feared it would have taken me another 3-4 months to save up the money for both (since I only want to use $ I’ve earned on the internet or through selling stuff).

I feel weird about it, because it would be such a huge splurge. But it’s a purchase that 100% won’t affect my budget or any of my savings, and I’ve been wanting to get a high quality professional-looking purse for over a year (I currently have one purse – a messenger bag – and while I love it, it’s not very professional). So we’ll see. I’m not in a rush and I’m super picky anyway, so I will take my time and make sure that I get the perfect purse at the best possible price.
