Need to buy one more Christmas gift…

I went over to a friend’s house yesterday evening. I bought a bottle of wine for $12, she made me dinner, and we rented Inglorious Basterds. It was a nice evening, but I was a little disappointed with the movie. Maybe it got hyped up too much. I expected more quirkiness. It was good, though … and I wish I had seen it in theatres!

She also asked me if I wanted to open my Christmas present. Crap. I did not buy any presents for my friends. We just never have. And she didn’t buy me anything last year, besides giving me a card. I felt awkward (had I know, I totally would have gotten something for her), so I told her that I would wait until closer to Christmas time (which gives me time to get her a freaking present!) … I’m thinking something under $20 for sure. Maybe those cute red Team Canada mitts everyone has, or a scarf. Maybe chocolates. Or a framed picture of our friends.
