On Saturday we went down to Seattle. We had a great day! I love shopping in Seattle, because there’s so much selection and so many stores that we just don’t have in Canada. We checked out Outdoor Research, Mountain Hardware, REI, Express, etc.
Aaaaaannnnd, we also checked out Tiffany & Co, where BF said I could pick out something for my birthday present! :) My birthday isn’t until next week, but we’re going to Tofino this coming weekend, so we wouldn’t be able to get down there.
I ended up picking up this really cute open heart pendant. I may not be a total girlie girl, and I definitely don’t wear a lot of jewelry, but I’ve always wanted a heart shaped pendant from Tiffany’s. And every time I’m in Seattle, I stare longingly at Tiffany’s, but have never gone inside. It felt like a dream when she put the necklace in that little blue box and tied it up with the white ribbon. :)
He also bought me a down filled vest from Feathered Friends. Something I’ve been wanting to buy for about 4 or 5 years. I’m glad I waited and got something so high quality, instead of settling for a generic North Face or Columbia vest.
AND if that wasn’t enough, he treated me to lunch at Von’s in downtown Seattle. We’ve passed by there the last few times we were in the city, and always wanted to try it out. And it was SO good. They had a ton of beer selections and lunch was reasonably priced (mine was only $9) delicious and quick. Highly recommended.
Next, I’ll write a post about what I personally bought in Seattle … :)
