FB just wrote a post about how it’s hard to make friends, especially outside of college. And I totally agree. I’ve blogged about this before – about how hard I find it in Vancouver to try to find people with similar interests. It’s near impossible. And you know what’s even harder to find? Couples with similar interests. BF and I have been going rock climbing for about a year (and skiing), and have we met any other people there? Nope. We’ve barely even talked to anyone. Everyone is off in their own little world. And you can’t exactly just ski … Continue reading
On Saturday BF and I picked up a digital scale. We’ve been using a really really cheap crappy scale that was never accurate. We wanted something digital and high quality so that it would be more accurate. The one we got actually creates profiles for us and records our past weight, which I thought was really cool. It cost $60 – so kind of pricey, but worth it because it was what we wanted and we’ll have it for years. Plus both of us use it all the time. We paid more for the extra features and the stainless steel … Continue reading
Yesterday I was down in Seattle. What a gorgeous day! Perfect to watch a ball game. We got through the border relatively quickly, so we were able to stop at 2 separate outlet malls plus Target! :) Don’t worry, I didn’t go crazy. After some of you guys commented that Aveeno is kind of a low-end brand, I thought that perhaps that was an American thing. Because in Canada, sure it’s a drug store brand and it’s in the aisles, but it’s by no means cheap. It’s around as expensive as Oil of Olay. So anyway, I went into Target … Continue reading
Well today is pay day (!!!). $150 went into my RRSPs, and I didn’t put $500 into my Travel Fund like I usually do. Instead, I put it on my Visa to pay off those mountaineering boots that I bought earlier this week. I also updated my sidebars and NetworthIQ, and I’m happy to report a 5.58% increase this month. I haven’t said much about this, but BF thinks that it’s important to talk about – regarding my RRSP investments, I am now back in positive territory. It was a quick recovery for me because of a lot of different … Continue reading
Ohhhh, lookie what I’m going to buy! A freaking adorable custom-made dress. I showed it to BF, and he even admitted that it was cute and a good price ($110). As soon as I have the time to take my measurements (or get them from my friend from when she got my bridesmaid dress sized), I’m going to buy it. Love love love… Check out the dress on Etsy if you’re interested! She has a bunch of other wonderful, beautiful dresses in different colours and styles.
