Tomorrow I’m going out for lunch with a friend. She’s moving from Vancouver to Alberta. It’s sad – I really like her, and it was so fabulous when she finally moved to Vancouver from my hometown. But, BF> and I will be out in Alberta in January, so we’ll see each other then. I’m not sure where we’ll be going for lunch, but I’m going to budget about $15. Last week still felt like summer, but it’s definitely feeling like autumn today – my favourite season. :) Summer is too hot, winter is too cold, and spring is too rainy. I love wearing scarves, taking my coats out of storage, pulling my boots out from under the bed, a nice cup of tea, and cuddling up in bed with lots of blankets and pillows. Since I haven’t found anywhere in Vancouver that sells those Vibram FiveFingers shoes, I think we might be crossing the border next weekend to do a little shopping. BF needs to pick up a pair of everyday shoes, work shoes, and jeans. There’s a big mall in Bellingham that we can go to – plus, there’s a running store in Bellingham that sells those VFFs I want to try out. I need new runners. I’ve had the same ones for the past 4 years, and they’re just about done. Before I go buy my standard $250 Asics (pricey, but I’ve been running consistently since Grade 3, so I know which runners work for me), I want to try on a pair of Vibram FiveFingers. Particularily the FiveFingers Sprint. They’ve been getting amazing reviews all over the internet. According to a story on cbc.ca, Canadians are increasingly racking up debt on credit cards. Which is kind of an obvious statement, given the way the world is today. But it really got me thinking.
