Well, since I’m posting today, I guess it’s obvious I’m not camping with my friends anymore. I wasn’t feeling very well on Friday, but I went up to the campsite anyway after work, thinking that I’d feel better after a good night’s sleep surrounded by fresh air. So I went to bed around 11pm. Well, my friends stayed up and got a bit rowdy (and also found some random guy who was hanging out with them), and BF and I didn’t actually get to sleep until past 4am. We asked them to maybe keep the noise down a bit, but you know how it is when you’re drinking and camping and meeting new people. I don’t blame them, but it wasn’t the best situation for us.
I woke up this morning around 8am and felt like absolute crap. BF got less sleep than me (he was supposed to get up at 6am to go on his hiking trip). So we scrapped everything and just headed back home. We both needed sleep, and I felt sick.
Now it’s about 9pm, and I feel a lot better. Still slightly congested, but my head doesn’t feel scrambled at all. So tomorrow morning BF and I are going to drive out of town (and out of this dreary rain) to go camping. Where we can get a good night’s sleep in a quiet area. I thought about going back up to stay with my friends, but another 2 nights of rowdy partying in the pouring rain is not what I’m in the mood for right now.
