Happy Friday and Pay Day!

Well today is pay day! Being on the cruise is like losing a week, so I feel like I just got paid, and now I’m being paid again. It’s great! :)

$500 automatically went into my Travel Fund, and $150 into my RRSPs. I will have to pay my bills and distribute the rest of the money once I get home from camping on Monday.

Yesterday after work I went to MEC with BF. He bought himself some hiking gear for the weekend, and I bought a small Black Diamond day pack for $35 (for day hikes and summit day).

It’s been really really hard to find a nice small bag with a pocket specifically to hang my hydration bag. This past Sunday I returned a $34 MEC backpack that I had purchased in early August. It was nice, but I really like this Black Diamond bag better. Especially for only $1 more. Although a bit of the logo on one of the shoulder straps is unraveling. And for normal people I guess that isn’t a big deal, but it is driving me insane. So I might exchange it. This isn’t a clear nailpolish fix. The tags are still on, and I’m sure someone slightly less obsessive won’t care about it. BF doesn’t care and thinks I’m crazy for even thinking about exchanging it. Seems so petty, but it’s on the shoulder, and I’ll have to look at it every time I use the bag, and I know it will keep bugging me.
