Possible hiking trip this weekend

BF wants to go hiking this weekend and climb a mountain. I wouldn’t be opposed to this idea (and I’d actually really like to go) as long as it’s nice outside. I am not in the mood to hike and camp in the pouring rain. Especially if we’re going to have to scramble up exposed rock.

So I guess it’s going to be a last-minute decision. The forecast says that it’s supposed to be sunny with clouds this weekend, so we’ll see!

One of my goals this year was to climb 4 mountains. I’ve already climbed 2 – Alouette Mtn. (which was an easy 8 hour day hike), Grimface Mtn. (a 3-day hike) … and technically we climbed Stone City Mtn. on the Grimface trip, but I don’t really want to count it since we hadn’t meant to climb it.

Other frugal things we could do this weekend would be to stay in and relax, maybe go rock climbing a few times … go for a nice walk in Stanley Park (or downtown), or a day hike somewhere close by. But then again, staying at home on the weekends always leads us to spend more money than we planned. So perhaps a weekend in the woods would be a good thing for us.
