Travel Fund To Date

Well, according to ING’s handy dandy Goal Setter, I am right on track in my Travel Fund savings. Back in June, I plugged in $10,000 as my goal, and as of right now I’m on track to reach that goal in January 2010. And if I keep saving at this rate, I should have close to $15,000 by mid-June! :) I also realized that I should be getting my tax refund back before we go traveling. I didn’t end up filling out those papers to deduct less tax off of my regular pay cheques. I know not to count on … Continue reading

My poor little iPod

I’ve been anxiously tracking my iPod and my sister’s MacBook Pro through UPS. For some reason, even though they were ordered together, they were shipped separately? According to the Apple website, my iPod was ready to ship about 24 hours before the MBP. Anyway the MBP is on it’s way from Alaska (via China), but my poor little iPod has been left behind in China due to poor weather conditions. Why!? :( It was ready to be shipped too! There go my wild dreams of having it arriving before the long weekend. Oh well. At least it looks like my … Continue reading

August Monthly Goals

Okay, so here is my budget for August. It’s a little inflated due to a trip to Osoyoos this coming long weekend, my trip to Alaska, and my 1-day in Seattle. Also, I’ll be going home for one weekend. Medical & Health Care – higher this month because I need to renew my BC (3-month supply), and 3 months of my MSP is due. Food – I don’t know if I’ll need the entire $250 since at least 1/3 of the month I won’t be at the house, so no need for groceries. That might mean an increase in dining … Continue reading

Bought a case for my iPod Touch

Okay, so after researching different iPod cases on my lunch break, I decided on getting the SwitchEasy NeoTouch. I found it on eBay for $26.95 US + $4.99 s&h, but then I saw a button by the BUY IT NOW button that said MAKE AN OFFER. Interesting? So I clicked on it and entered $20 US. Rejected. Then I entered $23 US, and it was accepted. Weird, but I saved $4 so I can’t complain! My total came to $31.32 CAD, which I had sitting in my PayPal account. I’m really happy with my decision and can’t wait until it … Continue reading

Need to buy an iPod Touch case

I try to take good care of my electronics, so as soon as I took the plunge and bought my iPod Touch, I knew I needed to get a case ASAP. Originally I wanted to get an armband case so that I could use it for working out, but after thinking about it, I’d rather get an everyday case. It’s more practical. I just held my old iPod when I went running outside, and in the gym, there’s always some sort of shelf on the machines. So I went onto Apple’s website and started reading the reviews for all of … Continue reading
