monthly goals
Okay, so here is my budget for August. It’s a little inflated due to a trip to Osoyoos this coming long weekend, my trip to Alaska, and my 1-day in Seattle. Also, I’ll be going home for one weekend.
- Medical & Health Care – higher this month because I need to renew my BC (3-month supply), and 3 months of my MSP is due.
- Food – I don’t know if I’ll need the entire $250 since at least 1/3 of the month I won’t be at the house, so no need for groceries. That might mean an increase in dining out though. We’ll see.
- Entertainment – whatever we do in Osoyoos, baseball game in Seattle and other miscellaneous things. I want to see a ball game in Vancouver, have a date in Steveston, and go see a movie (but I have a 2-for-1 coupon so that shouldn’t be so bad as long as I’m not tempted by theatre food!)
- Travel – cost to get to Seattle for the cruise, traveling home, etc.
Here are my goals for August:
- Go rock climbing 3-4 times. It will be hard, what with us both out of town so often.
- Go on a hike. Any kind of hike. This will be difficult, because as of right now we don’t have any weekends free.
- Clean out my old laptop. My dad wants to use my laptop, so I’ll just do a wipe. I haven’t used it in years – I replaced it with my current iMac over 3 years ago.
- Work out every morning while on the cruise. There’s no way I’m letting myself go on this cruise, no matter how much I want to. :) There’s a great gym on the ship, so I should make use of it.
- Finish my cross-stitching project. I just realized that I have THREE friends who are preggo right now. I’d like to get baby cross stitch projects finished for the other 2 by the time they are ready to pop.
- Get down to 130 lbs. I’m stuck at 135 lbs. right now.
- $350 into Retirement Portfolio.
- $300 into Savings Fund.
- $1,000 into Travel Fund.
- Make an extra $700. I have about $600 coming in from contract work, so I’ll have to work hard to make an extra $100+.
