I’m really excited to finally get an iPod to replace the one that was ruined in the car crash. In total, I spent $170 + $20.40 tax = $190.40 on a new 32 GB iTouch. :) Cheaper than it would have been to replace my ruined Classic.
Anyway, so I took advantage of that Free iPod Touch deal when you buy a MacBook (the deal I mentioned a few months ago). I wish I could say that I also bought a brand new MacBook (not that I need it), but it was my sister who finally caved in and is ditching her PC laptop for a Mac. :)
The money for the new iPod will be coming out of the $600+ I will be receiving from the 2 contracts that I’m finishing up. The only unfortunate part of the deal is that I had to pay the full price ($429) for the iPod, and will get a rebate for $259 direct deposited into my account approximately 1-2 weeks after they receive my rebate forms.
So, right now $429 + tax is sitting on my credit card. I’m hoping to get $$$ from my contracts within the next 2 or 3 weeks, and as soon as the MacBook/iPod gets shipped (I should receive it on Friday, or after the long weekend), I’ll send in for the rebate. So hopefully everything works out smoothly and my credit card will be cleared ASAP. But if it’s close to the billing date of my credit card, I’ll just pay it off with my Savings Fund, and then replenish it once the rebate/contract money comes in.
