So, as you know I’ve already booked my hotel and bought a concert ticket to The Avett Brothers for the night that I’m in Seattle by myself.
Then yesterday, my sister said that she might stay in Seattle with me, then catch a ride back to Vancouver the next night with BF and I (and I’m assuming, she’d also be staying with us that night) – since her boyfriend is driving across Canada to get home and he should be able to meet her there (they want to go to IKEA, since apparently they’re moving in together?)
If that ends up happening, then I’ll have to change my hotel reservation (if I can?), and either try to sell my concert ticket, or just take the loss. My sister doesn’t want to go to the show, and I can’t exactly leave her by herself in the hotel room for 3 or 4 hours. Well I can, but I’d feel super guilty about it. If I take the loss on the concert ticket, I’ll end up breaking even anyway because my sister will give me half of the money I paid for the hotel. So that’s not too bad.
I was kind of hoping it’d be a nice little one-day getaway for BF and I, since we had such a good time the last time we were in Seattle together. But that’s okay. It’ll be fun too with my sister. She’ll just have to do all the things that we had already planned on doing – like the ball game, and eating at the Crab Pot, and going to REI – and she knows that.
