PT job rejection e-mail

So a few weeks ago, I applied for a PT job at a grocery store that is just opening up by my work. I’ve never worked in a grocery store before, but I have about 7 or 8 years of retail experience in really fast-paced environments, so I knew I was capable of doing the job. I just wanted a few shifts per week, after work. Maybe 12 hrs/week. It was a way for me to get to know other people, because the money isn’t that great and I have a decent paying FT job. Anyway I just got a … Continue reading

Yesterday BF had to work until 7pm, so I picked him up and we went to Superstore to do our weekly grocery shopping. If you’re wondering how we’re doing managing our groceries together (since we eat different things and I was worried about how that would affect my grocery budget and what I eat), here’s what we’ve been doing to cut costs: Buying all of our groceries separately. Finally applied for my passport

I finally went to Surrey today to hand in my passport application. It was surprisingly easy. A little too easy, if you ask me. The drive was easy. Finding a parking spot was easy (I even parallel parked for the first time in years without a hitch). The line-up was long but went super duper fast. As long as there aren’t … Continue reading

I just found out (via Smart Canucks) that Canadians can get a 1-year National Geographic subscription for only $16 ($12 US)! Which includes GST. OMG. The subscription price is normally $20, which is still a fabulous deal. But $16 is better … and considering the newsstand price is $83.40, that’s a killer deal. The offer is good for Facebook community members in the US and Canada only. New orders only. After debating for about 5 minutes, I decided to buy a subscription. I am really excited. National Geographic has always been one of my favourite magazines, so how could I … Continue reading

$15 off coupon for IndiDenim

For those who were curious about IndiDenim, I signed up for their website, created jeans and then just kind of left it. Wanted to think about it some more. Today I got an e-mail with a $15 off coupon. So, just a little FYI for those who are contemplating a purchase. :) Also, here is a good review of IndiDenim. She even posted pictures of herself wearing the jeans.
