It’s been over 4 months since I had LASIK eye surgery and I cannot imagine my life with glasses anymore. I never wore contacts. Tried them a few times when I was younger, and I couldn’t get used to sticking my fingers in my eyes. I’ve worn glasses since I was 15, and full-time for the past 4 or 5 years. The freedom from frames is an amazing feeling. Best $3,000 ever spent. It even tops the purchase of my $3,000+ 24” iMac computer if you can believe that! Reasons why getting LASIK surgery was one of the best decisions … Continue reading
I forced myself out of my comfy bed this morning at around 5:30 to go for a run. I didn’t actually get out the door until just before 6am, but I ran for over 30 min. so that’s good enough for me. I really need to get into better shape. Whenever we go hiking, I always get cranky. Always. BF is sauntering along ahead of me, enjoying the views, meanwhile I’m just trying to keep up. I think I’d enjoy it a lot more if I were actually fit enough to keep up with his long legs. Don’t get me … Continue reading
So I’ve been using Swagbucks for about 1 weeks, and I don’t mind it. I’ve earned 55 Swagbucks so far – and I only need 45 for a $5 Amazon.ca gift certificate. At this rate, I could earn around $20 in Amazon.ca money per month. I haven’t really checked out the other prizes I could get, but that seems like a pretty deal. Especially for such little effort. I’m also following them on Twitter and on Facebook, and you can win extra Swagbucks from them each day if you read their messages carefully. :) I do wish there was a … Continue reading
Last night BF and I went to go play hockey at the park, but people were using the field! Boo-urns. So we decided to take a drive out to see the new Golden Ears bridge while it was still free (30 days free, then there’ll be a toll put in place). It was pretty nice, and I’m glad that we went to see it because chances are we’ll never use it. Then we came home and watched Seven Years in Tibet. Has anyone else seen it? I thought it was just okay. It was kind of slow and boring, and … Continue reading
I’ve had my PC Financial accounts (1 chequing, 4 savings) for over 2 years now, and I haven’t had a single complaint until today. I think it’s so irritating that I cannot transfer money between different PC Financial accounts. What I want to do is send money from my chequing account to a chequing account in someone else’s name. With my TD Canada Trust account, I was able to do it really easily. But apparently you can’t do it with PC Financial. WHY? WHY NOT!? Do they know how obnoxious this is? Grr!!
