Give Me Back My Five Bucks

I’m in negotiation with a previous employer from my hometown – they want to do some contract design work for them. And since they’re government, they pay quite well. This could lead to a lot more work, since I know they don’t have a designer on staff. Fingers are crossed!

So far this week I’ve worked 2.5 hrs of overtime. Not a lot, but I’m hoping to work enough so that I can take a day off work when my sister comes to visit in mid-July. The plan is to go down to the outlet mall in Washington. It’s kind of scary. Argg!! I am so irritated. I just got off the phone with the BC Parks people who handle the purchasing of the parking pass. The woman I talked to couldn’t tell me where the pass is – whether it’s lost in the mail, or whether it didn’t get sent off, or anything. She said they would try to track it down and send it to me as soon as they could. Last night I went out for dinner at Earls with the girls and had a great time. I got to hear about all the traveling adventures they’ve been on (one went to China, another went to Italy, and another went to Brazil). Oh, and one of them announced that they were 3 months pregnant! :) After tax and tip I spent exactly $15, so I’m pleased I stayed within the budget I set for myself.
