I want my passport

My passport got sent to my home address. It’s sitting there at the post office by my house, waiting for me to pick it up. The only problem is I live in Vancouver. And they denied my mom when she went to try to pick it up for me. Fair enough. But I swear that I put my current mailing address on my passport application.
So now I have to go to the post office here and sign some sort of paperwork that will allow the post office at home to release the passport to my mom. And then even that apparently might not work.
