I think I forgot to mention that I bought my dream boots. The ones that I’ve been wanting since I first saw them in the store.
They were regular priced $250 (before tax). I made the mistake of picking them up and trying them on “just to see.” But I couldn’t spend that kind of money on boots! Then around Christmas, they went on sale for $220. I tried them on again, but still couldn’t pull the trigger. It was just too much money. After tax, it still would have been around $250. Too much!
I was thankful when summer shoes started to replace boots, and I no longer saw my dream boots in the stores anymore. But I was also sad. Would I ever find a pair of boots that fit me so well again?
And then … last week I saw them online. In my size. I looked at the website and debated for days. Did I need them? No. Did I want them? Yes. Was this an impulse buy? No. Had I waited until I got the best price possible? Yes. Would that money be better off saved? Yes. But in the end, I couldn’t resist! I got them for $161.53 after tax and shipping and exchange rate, which is a killer deal considering at full price they would have been closer to $300 after tax.
I had budgeted ZERO DOLLARS for clothing/shoes this month. So, that sucks. But, I’m really really happy and excited about these boots. I have been searching for the perfect pair for YEARS – a pair that fits my massively huge calves, but still fit snugly around my thin ankles, and has no heel. Love love love!!!

[...] Black Born knee-high boots (Regular $250 + tax, bought for $160) – I internet-stalked these boots for over 6 months, waiting for them to go on sale. I was a little obsessed, but wasn’t about to shell put $250 + tax for them. And my patience paid off, because I ended up buying them for $160, all taxes in. :) [...]
Krystal,
if you don't mind, Can you tell me what brand / model boots they are?
I can never find boots with almost no heels + Wide and just below knee lenght (so I can wear them with skirts). These look they might fit into all 3 categories.
Thanks!!
