I have a girls camping trip booked for the Labour Day long weekend. I decided to make our reservations today, because last year everything was just about booked up around this time. Luckily we were able to book 2 campsites for the 3 nights. I hate hate hate paying for camping, but the girls aren’t into backpacking and hiking anywhere, which is fair enough. That’s not really their thing.
Also, I bought a 12-month parking pass for BC Provincial Parks. It was only $25, and will allow BF and I to park in any provincial park. Normal parking rates are $1/hr or a $3-5 day rate. Something like that. Not outrageous, but can add up. We’re going on a 4-night hiking trip at the end of this month, so that’s $20 right there. Plus another 4-day trip for the August long weekend. After that, it will have more than paid for itself. I should get it in the mail in 5-7 business days.
The total charged to my credit card was $152.80. I’ll be getting $100 back from the girls for their share of camping ($25/pp) the next time I see them.
So $52.80 for 3 nights of camping and a 12-month parking pass? Pretty cheap if you ask me.
